Frequently Asked Questions About Gutter Cleaning In Alabama
Ken's Gutters • America's Largest Gutter Cleaning Company
Ken’s Gutters has local teams on-the-ground in every major city in Alabama, from Birmingham and Huntsville to Mobile and Montgomery. We are licensed and insured in Alabama and we work with many if not all of the largest property management firms in the state.
Pricing varies, depending mostly on the total linear footage of gutter to be cleaned. We won’t charge for peak periods or against whether-related events that might have increased the debris in your gutters. Height and ease of access are factored in where relevant, but we’re used to all heights and roof types. With the cost-savings we pass on to you, we can almost guarantee we will provide the most competitive bids and deliver quality service consistently.
We’re typically complete on most properties within a day, however the size of your property or MFH [multi-family housing] and the number of separate buildings are factors that could understandably extend that time. We aim to service MFHs at the most convenient time for residents and with as little interruption to your on-site team as feasible. Because we’re fully equipped and fully licensed and insured, we’re able to operate within our own oversight systems.
Aside from granting property access, we do not require a member of your team (or family) to be present. Instead, we will photograph and upload for your immediate and real-time viewing, photos of your gutters Before and After we clean them, and on each separate building we service.
Absolutely — especially in Alabama. The state’s heavy rainfall, humidity, and severe storm activity make clogged gutters a direct path to foundation erosion, fascia rot, mold growth, and interior water damage. The cost of a professional cleaning is a fraction of what any one of those repairs would run.
In Alabama, twice per year is the minimum — ideally once in spring before rainy season (March–September) and again in late fall after leaves drop. Properties surrounded by heavy tree cover, or commercial properties with large roof surfaces, should consider quarterly service.
Debris left in gutters traps moisture, accelerating rust and rot in the gutter system itself. In Georgia’s humid climate, decomposing leaves also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, mold, and pests. Over time, the added weight of wet debris can pull gutters away from the fascia, requiring costly repairs or full replacement.
Key signs include water spilling over the sides during rain, sagging or pulling gutters, staining on siding or exterior walls, plant growth inside the gutter, and visible debris buildup. In Alabama, if it’s been more than six months since your last cleaning — especially heading into rainy season — it’s time to schedule a service.
